PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

Klarity AccuCushions® are medical devices used for precise positioning and immobilization of patients undergoing radiation therapy treatments. AccuCushions® are to be used only by qualified medical professionals.


AccuCushions® are uniquely constructed for optimum molding characteristics when heated at low temperatures. They can be closely molded to a patient’s anatomy, providing strong support, comfort and accurate reproducibility.


Each AccuCushion® is a custom fabricated device for single patient use only. The cushions can be re-heated and re-molded if necessary.

MAINTENANCE AND DISPOSITION

Store Klarity AccuCushions® in a dry, clean place at temperatures between 50°F (10°F) and 95°C (35°F). Avoid direct sunlight. AccuCushions® can be disposed of with normal facility waste.

 

INSTRUCTION TIPS FOR HEATING ACCUCUSHION®:

Two methods are recommended to heat the Klarity AccuCushion®: Convection Oven and Watch Bath.


**Convection Oven is strongly recommended for heating larger AccuCushions®.

1. Heat the AccuCushion® at 75℃ for 10-12  minutes. Remove from the sealed plastic pouch before heating.

2. While the AccuCushion® is heating prepare the patient for setup. When the cushion is ready, place evenly in the desired positon.

3. Lay the patient's head on to the cushion, and form cushion to patient's head and neck contours. Cushion will be warm and comfortable, often having a calming effect on the patient. Cushion starts to set up after 3 or 4 minutes and will reach full set up in 8 to 12 minutes.

4. Optional Neoprene strape and velcro can be used to hold the cushion in place while it cools.

5. Allow the AccuCushion® to fully cool and harden for 15 minutes before moving the patient.
